Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and a writer. She is most well recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions, before becoming famous in the national stage scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. The same year, She released Her first album, It's the Time for Tina. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Big Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. At the time, she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her acting career in between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as contrast to her image as a glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made an impact as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural and The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
