Coleman was from Lancashire and born in Blackpool. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A-levels. When discussing her character on Emmerdale, Coleman stated that she regrets not having had a typical university experience. Coleman, while still at the high school system, was a member of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. A prize was given to her for the presentation, while the show itself received a favorable reception. Coleman got the part as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. The British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she received the award for as the most popular newcomer. In 2009 she won nominations in two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role of Matt Smith. Moffat chose to put her in the role since she seemed to have the most chemistry Smith. She also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. But, she's more recognized for her TV shows instead of films. Eva has played a variety of TV roles, but the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children' and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to express her creative side through music. Eva is not only an actor, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has three husbands and one child born from the third.
