Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 and is a Canadian actress. She rose to fame for her role as Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after having played a variety of characters on television. Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) was awarded the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In an Supporting Part. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV series. She also appeared in Jeri Hogarth. While in Spain, Moss obtained a part as Tara as the clerk of Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. In 1992, she moved with the series from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss left Dark Justice before the series the third and final season and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn in the role of Samantha "Sam" Collins. Following her return to the America, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model as well as a character in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap television. The show was ended July 1, 1995. Matrix the made-in Canada series that featured her as the lead actress the show, was cancelled in July 1995. Through the 1990s she was an actor in several TV shows such as Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared in F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South earned her a nomination in the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in a drama. Her film credits included numerous B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
